It's great to see agiLab's director, Dr Emma Russell, featured in a Times article about workplace email and when to send it.
Emma (together with Professor Tom Jackson (Loughborough University), Marc Fullman (agiLab), and Petros Chamakiotis (ESCP Business School) has authored a paper (soon to be published in The British Psychological Society Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology) exploring findings that one of the four 'super' actions people adopt to effectively deal with work email is to respect and adhere to email access and connectivity boundaries. Emailing colleagues during time off (e.g. Sunday afternoons) is not only uncivil, but - our literature review reveals - ineffective in terms of achieving work and well-being goals.
